  • "Hellzapoppin’ (1938). Their rough and rowdy brand of humor went over well with audiences (if not the critics), and the revue ran for 1,404 performances (for a Complete Book of 1950s Broadway Musicals the Dan Dietz, p. 78
  • The revival opted for an overly cute retelling of the basic story against an “environmental” staging that included ten performance areas scattered about the theatre as well as four different areas for the orchestra members to play.
