- "For the 1936–1937 Broadway season, the D’Oyly Carte Opera Company presented ten of them within a two-month period. A few weeks after Knights of Song closed, the D’Oyly Carte offered eight revivals and later in the season Broadway offered two black versions of The Mikado, The Swing Mikado and Hot Mikado."
