This documentary musical tells the true story of the Weintraub Syncopators, a wildly popular jazz band in Weimar-era Berlin composed of Jewish musicians. As the Nazis rise to power, the band members are forced to flee Germany, scattering across the globe from Australia to Japan, their music silenced by the regime that destroyed the vibrant culture they embodied.
