Recently deceased couple Adam and Barbara Maitland find themselves trapped as ghosts in their own home when an obnoxious family, the Deetzes, moves in. Their goth daughter Lydia, mourning her own dead mother, is the only living person who can see them. Desperate to reclaim their home, the Maitlands summon Beetlejuice, a crude and chaotic demon, whose help comes with dangerous strings attached as he schemes to escape…
