In Prohibition-era Chicago, murderess Roxie Hart manipulates the media and her slick lawyer Billy Flynn to turn her crime into celebrity. Competing for the spotlight with fellow killer Velma Kelly, Roxie discovers that in the jazz age, justice is just another form of show business, and notoriety is the fastest path to fame.
