At fictional Rydell High School in 1959, tough greaser Danny Zuko and sweet new girl Sandy Dumbrowski struggle to reconcile their summer romance with the social pressures of teenage cliques. Danny must choose between maintaining his cool image with his T-Birds gang and showing his true feelings for Sandy, while she navigates the world of the sassy Pink Ladies and ultimately transforms herself to win Danny back.
