Superman, disguised as mild-mannered reporter Clark Kent, must save Metropolis from the evil scientist Dr. Abner Sedgwick, a ten-time Nobel Prize loser who plots to destroy the Man of Steel. Meanwhile, Superman struggles with his feelings for Lois Lane and his self-doubt when a rival columnist at the Daily Planet tries to prove that the hero is not as invulnerable as he seems.
