Wonderful Town

Shows · Wonderful Town

Wonderful Town is generally accepted as the successor to On The Town. The musical was based on Ruth McKinney’s New Yorker short stories — which Fields and Chodorov had already turned into the 1940 Broadway hit My Sister Eileen — and concerns the adventures of Miss McKinney and her sister in Greenwich Village after arriving from Ohio seeking careers.
