14 of these 80 names have a person record behind them and link to one. The other 66 are set from the identifier in the cast list, which is a slug of the name — so hyphens and full stops are lost and a few come out wrong. We hold nothing else about them. Nobody here is matched to a character: the cast list records who was in the company and not what they played.

A producer is one string on this record, however many people or companies it names. Directors and choreographers are held both as text and as identifiers; where an identifier exists the name links to a page.

Around this production

Here's Love is a musical with a book, music, and lyrics by Meredith Willson. An adaptation of the film Miracle on 34th Street, the show is currently licensed under the film's name as Miracle on 34th Street: The Musical. The musical, much like the film that inspired it, tells the tale of a skeptical young girl who doubts the existence of Santa Claus. When the real Kris Kringle is hired inadvertently to represent jolly St. Nick in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, he must convince the child and her cynical divorced mother (the department store's special events director) that he is the genuine article.

  • Michael Bennett, a Michael Kidd dancer in SUBWAYS ARE FOR SLEEPING [Styne: December 27, 1961] and HERE’S LOVE [Willson: October 3, 1963]. This was Bennett's second attempt, following the equally unsuccessful A JOYFUL NOISE [December 15, 1966]. Show Tunes the Songs Shows and Careers of Broadway S Suskin Steven Suskin Steven, p. 294

What this page does not know

  • No photograph of this staging. 48 of 13,459 productions hold one.
  • No character names. We can say who was in the company and not who they played.
  • No recording is held for Here’s Love at all.
  • No show page for Here’s Love. The work is here as a title and a year, and nothing more has been gathered about it.
  • Reviews, box office, running order, understudies and designers: none of it is held for any production.
