  • On the night of April 30, 1922, Robert Benchley made his acting debut at the 49TH STREET THEATRE. He recited his Treasurer’s Report, a monologue he repeated in the Music Box Revue. Broadway Its History People and Places An Encyclopedia Bloom Ken 1949 2nd Ed New, p. 33
